Are you prioritizing your outer appearance over your inner wellbeing?

How much do you invest in yourself to ‘look’ fabulous?
Now ask yourself, how much do I invest in myself to ‘feel’ fabulous?
Many of us are happy to spend time and money on our outward appearance, haircuts, highlights, colour, make up, face creams, body creams, nails, eye lashes, eyebrows shaped, new clothes and fashion………the list goes on……
The question is:
How much are you looking after your inner wellbeing?
With ever increasingly busy lives, many of us do not stop to think about our goals in life, we muddle along hoping that things will just work out, often spending our time in catch up mode or think, I’ll be happy when…., rather than I need to be happy now!
How often have you turned up to work looking the part or met up with friends, but just were not ‘feeling it’ inside. Your outer appearance not reflecting your inner thoughts and feelings.
If you get that terrible Monday morning feeling, stomach flipping, anxiety and dread or you feel unfulfilled at the end of the day, maybe it’s time to stop and take stock.
What are you waiting for?
Just think what you could achieve if you invested in your future and wellbeing as much time as you did on your outer appearance. The buzz you get from a new haircut is short lived – imagine the long-term benefits of investing in your inner wellbeing for around the same cost as a new hairstyle!
Many of you will have had goals, ideas, or dreamt of things that you would have liked to have achieved. Have you got lost along the way, feeling overwhelmed or overthink the process, and as a result procrastinate and never move forward? Do you remember when you were young and you were asked what you wanted to be when you grew up? It felt like the world was your oyster and everything was attainable – then life got in the way and created internal barriers, constraints, and self-doubt.
Ask yourself these 3 simple questions:
Do I feel fulfilled in my life?
Do I feel valued?
Do I feel that I am doing something that is in alignment with my strengths, beliefs and goals?
If you can answer ‘No’ to any of these questions, then isn’t it time to start investing in your inner wellbeing and making it your priority?
